{"id":2760,"date":"2026-05-25T10:55:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T10:55:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/florentgueuning.be\/?p=2760"},"modified":"2026-05-25T11:21:21","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T11:21:21","slug":"nove-mesto-world-cup-a-challenging-first-european-world-cup-but-valuable-lessons-learned","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/florentgueuning.be\/fr\/nove-mesto-world-cup-a-challenging-first-european-world-cup-but-valuable-lessons-learned\/","title":{"rendered":"Nove Mesto World Cup \u2013 Une premi\u00e8re Coupe du Monde europ\u00e9enne compliqu\u00e9e, mais riche en enseignements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce samedi, je prenais le d\u00e9part de la premi\u00e8re Coupe du Monde de la saison disput\u00e9e sur le sol europ\u00e9en, \u00e0 Nove Mesto. Une manche devenue au fil des ann\u00e9es l\u2019une des \u00e9preuves phares du circuit mondial, avec une ambiance unique, un public impressionnant et un circuit aussi exigeant que spectaculaire.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nove Mesto est un trac\u00e9 que j\u2019appr\u00e9cie beaucoup, mais qui ne m\u2019a jamais r\u00e9ellement souri jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent. En trois participations sur ce circuit, je n\u2019ai jamais vraiment r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 y exprimer pleinement mon potentiel. J\u2019abordais donc ce d\u00e9placement avec beaucoup d\u2019envie, mais aussi une certaine prudence.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La pr\u00e9paration de cette manche n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 id\u00e9ale. Le week-end pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent, un petit virus m\u2019a \u00e9cart\u00e9 du v\u00e9lo pendant trois jours. Ajout\u00e9 \u00e0 mon historique mitig\u00e9 sur ce circuit, cela m\u2019a forc\u00e9 \u00e0 relativiser mes attentes. Malgr\u00e9 tout, la dynamique positive de l\u2019\u00e9quipe et l\u2019envie de bien faire \u00e9taient bien pr\u00e9sentes. Bonne nouvelle \u00e9galement : les conditions sont rest\u00e9es s\u00e8ches toute la semaine, ce qui a permis de travailler sereinement sur un circuit d\u00e9j\u00e0 suffisamment exigeant.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Avec mon classement UCI actuel, je m\u2019\u00e9lan\u00e7ais avec le dossard 103. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait donc clair : tenter une remont\u00e9e progressive dans un peloton tr\u00e8s dense.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le d\u00e9part est tendu, chacun cherchant \u00e0 se faufiler pour gagner un maximum de positions. De mon c\u00f4t\u00e9, j\u2019avais choisi une approche prudente. Je savais que les premiers passages risquaient d\u2019\u00eatre marqu\u00e9s par des bouchons et je voulais \u00e9viter de me mettre dans le rouge trop t\u00f4t. L\u2019id\u00e9e \u00e9tait de lancer r\u00e9ellement ma course \u00e0 partir du deuxi\u00e8me tour, une fois le peloton un peu plus \u00e9tir\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s un d\u00e9but ma\u00eetris\u00e9, je commence \u00e0 mettre en route dans le deuxi\u00e8me tour et je trouve progressivement mon rythme dans le troisi\u00e8me. C\u2019est \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0 que je reviens sur F\u00e9lix Sprenger, victime d\u2019une crevaison. Je prends son sillage et nous entreprenons une belle remont\u00e9e. Nous reprenons alors 5 \u00e0 6 places et revenons progressivement sur le groupe qui joue autour de la 65e position. \u00c0 ce moment-l\u00e0, je suis 78e, \u00e0 seulement une quinzaine de secondes de ce groupe.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Malheureusement, dans mon enthousiasme et l\u2019effort de remont\u00e9e, je sous-estime la gestion de la chaleur. Mon corps monte en temp\u00e9rature et je finis par litt\u00e9ralement surchauffer. Je perds environ 1\u201930\u201d entre la fin du troisi\u00e8me tour et le d\u00e9but du quatri\u00e8me, un passage difficile qui casse ma dynamique.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apr\u00e8s un rafra\u00eechissement au poste technique, je parviens \u00e0 me remobiliser dans le cinqui\u00e8me tour. Les sensations reviennent partiellement et je r\u00e9ussis \u00e0 reprendre contact avec le groupe qui me pr\u00e9c\u00e8de. Malheureusement, la r\u00e8gle des 80 % vient alors sceller ma course. Je suis arr\u00eat\u00e9 et class\u00e9 86e.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9videmment, je n\u2019\u00e9tais pas venu \u00e0 Nove Mesto pour ce r\u00e9sultat. Mais en tenant compte du contexte \u2014 la maladie la semaine pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente, mon historique compliqu\u00e9 sur ce circuit, le d\u00e9part lointain et la chaleur \u2014 je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re relativiser. Tout n\u2019est pas \u00e0 jeter : il y a eu une vraie phase de remont\u00e9e, un rythme int\u00e9ressant par moments et surtout des enseignements \u00e0 tirer pour la suite.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La Coupe du Monde est exigeante, parfois brutale, mais elle reste le meilleur endroit pour progresser.
